Thanks to everyone who responded to my problem on 3/15/11. I especially appreciate the extensive checklist and trouble shooting information. The error was in the wiring of the ammeter. The service manager at the Case IH dealer said that the mechanic had some difficulty with the wiring harness and copied off of a Super MTA. I suspect that he copied positive ground from negative ground.
