You stick a bar in the fill hole and then turn the coupler off. I used a big screwdriver in the hole, but the rules state to use a brass bar. I then used a punch and hammer on the coupler to knock it loose. I didn't really tighten mine back up that much. No idea if I will have a problem or not.
