At the very bottom of carb is a vented passage, capped with a plug with a small hole in it. It runs directly up at 12 o'clock. Upon removing this cap, by tapping with small punch from the inside no filler material was found in there. There is no solid piece of felt packing in the kit. Is there supposed to be a solid packing for this? Can I substitute another material? I never had this out of previous carbs I did, but as I could see a lot of daylight through it I believe it needs repair. A lot of dust or whatever could walk up there the way it is now.
