My uncle had a '50 H with the optional 7 MPH 4th gear. We put a set of steel wheels on it one winter to skid logs with. The steel wheels did the job because the ground in the woods didn't freeze hardly at all, but out in the field where we stockpiled the logs the ground froze pretty solid and the H got shook pretty bad when we slipped her in 4th to go back into the woods, but boy, they worked good when the ground thawed a little and got "savvy". I sold the steel wheels to an Amish guy in 1984 for 300 dollars, they were still like new, they'd been kept inside...wish I had them now to show on our restored '51 H once in a while....Oh well.
