O K no 1 indicates that the battery is low and that the switch contacts may be dirty and the battery cables are possibly corroded or the wires (battery cables and ignition) are too small no 2 indicates that the distributor is not shorted, the primary coil windings are not shorted, the ignition wiring is not shorted, no 3 indicates that the system is correct. The points are making good contact across the face. The connection from the coil is good to the distributor, distributor is not shorted to the engine. In conclusion, there is no reason that I can determine why you should have not gotten a spark. In your post you stated that you tried to draw a spark and it did not happen. I suggest that you retry. With the battery charger connected to the battery and a known good wire type (not carbon) high tension lead in the coil, hold the lead about a 1/4 inch away from a good clean non painted ground on the engine and start cranking the engine. I believe it will spark. Keep us posted and good luck.
