John when I was rebuilding my M&W clutch on my H I ended up destroying most of the fiber discs. When you get everything off down to the discs you should be able to tell how the outer circumference of the fiber discs and the inner part of the drum are splined. In my experiance there was enough corrosion built up that it did not allow the fiber discs to just pull out easily. Maybe with enough patience you can use a file...wire brush...ect... to clean it out and this would allow you to pull them out. Then of course between each fiber disc will be a metal plate that will have splines on the inner shaft. Good luck.
