LOL well at my age and with upper back problems the M is hard steering with the factory wide front. Back problems stem from 20 years serving on tanks US Army....some baby ROFL! Plus it takes a lot of room just to turn it around. Ran the square baler with it for a couple of years, but I've run a 560 on a baler....lot more enjoyable running a 560. If I was just looking for a show/parade tractor I'd keep the M. But by the time you add power steering, live hydraulics and a good 3 point you may as well buy a newer tractor with all those things already on there.
It's all in perspective. I need working tractors. Hate parades cause I marched in way too many through the years. Retired Army now and trying to get the family farm going again without going to the bank. Got the M for the right money and it performs as needed but could be better. Runs well, just finished converting it to 12 Volt so I am planning on keeping it. Going to get new rear tires put on in the next 2 weeks. But it could be better. When young I ran a Super C, both H and SH tractors. I have run a 756 when it was new, as well as a new 826, 560's a MM U, JD R 3020, 4020 and 5020 and a couple of the 70 series Case tractors. In the last few years while helping family and friends I've run a couple of the 86 series plus the 1206 that I have. Darn those terrible 86 series with AC and heat.....yea I'd love to have one....LOL
