I just cleaned out my PTO with diesel and filled it up with some 10W oil (2 quarts)Which basically filled it to the fill level hole. But once I started the tractor up and engaged the PTO, Oil started coming out of this hole an few inches above the PTO shaft. It wasn't just a drop or two, it was quite a bit. I put my finger over it and it was easy enough to stop, no back pressure that I could feel.
Is this normal, I'm pretty sure I put the right amount of oli in. Is there some sort of stopper that needs to go there, that possibly fell off? Or some sort of dowel pin that needs to go in there? It does seem to have threads.
