I ran the engine and got it warm to retorque the head on Saturday. When I was torquing (sp) the rack back down I broke one of the studs. The easy out didn't want to touch it, we did get the hole off center and that helped the easy out fail. Tonight I got back at it and got it out. I drilled the remaining portions and folded the bolt in. The easy out could get the bolt after that. It's all that easy... :lol:
Does anybody know the measurement of the stud? CNH can't get them. I will check with the engine shop tomorrow, but they will probably want to know a length. It looks like around 2" but I am not 100%. Can you use a bolt in place of the stud? The old timer that is helping me says no problem, but I am not in love with the theory.
