No. That is precisely the problem. The landside holds the plow, if you give it a chance. By running the hitch too flat, you make the plow "run on its nose" and you lift the landside out of the furrow bottom. And, the share has to be sharp and have suck or else it won't work either. So many people adjust the hitch trying to compensate for a worn share, when the correct solution is to fix the share! After that, there is the possibility that the landside is worn to make it rounded on the bottom making it easier to slide out of the furrow bottom.
I admit adjusting the plow hitch so that it is left of the beam is going to add side draft that the landside has to absorb, but it should take it. I add side draft to the 2-12" plow behind my M. You adjust the plow hitch side to side only to get the correct width of cut and to make the tractor steer well. Moving the hitch to the right because the plow is pulling crooked won't fix the problem!
My advice would be to adjust the plow hitch to be as low as possible on the plow, adjust the tractor hitch to be 15-17" from the ground and go from there. If the plow won't go in the ground then, you need to work on the share.
