Back in the days when the tractors were new the swinging drawbar was handy for lots of stuff. You let the swinging one move so when you turned the hitch moving side ways let you make tighter turns with a harrow and the disc pulling the wagon to the side so scooping the ground feed into the hog feeders got the wagon closer and the list goes on. Farming was tons different then. Always had a couple hundred hogs out in the pasture cleaner place cooler and no manure to haul but you did haul the ground feed to them. Pulling the windrower to one side so you had untouched stubble to law the windrew on and the list goes on.Hey we even got by without live pto and power steering.
