Al. Usually that side to side scrolling is a direct result of someone posting a picture that is too large to fit the screen. Scrolling is not necessary on the second page because the picture is only on the first page, not on the second.
Getting a new monitor or changing the resolution on your current monitor isn't going to help.
The answer is for folks who post pictures to learn how to edit the size of the picture, and then to use the "preview" button to find out if the picture fits BEFORE they hit the "submit" button.
