The hydraulic couplers in front (that the culitvator use to plug into) are shot.... like rusted solid and all the ball bearing are gone shot. I figured I could just put new couplers on but I then realized that it was 5/8 threading. So I went to my hydraulic hose guy buy he couldn"t find any reducers in stock. I did however find the right reducer from 5/8 down to 1/2 in brass at the local hardware store. It has a much thicker wall than those damn steel lines that run under the seat to run the fast hitch. Will those brass fittings handle the pressure?
Thanks

Brass adapters made from CA360 Brass with rolled threads and one-piece design are rated up to 2000 PSI.......great for air/water -low pressure apps. They typically are available in SAE 45 degree, JIC 37 degree, Hose Barb, compression, poly-flow, pipe, inverted flare, and poly-push fittings. This means you will be able to find brass that will fit your hydraulic app.....but will it work?
Steel adapters both forged and straight one piece design rate to 10,000 PSI. nuff said.

This article is a summary of what I have gathered up from various sources on the Gletrac General GG and the B. F. Avery model A tractors. I am quite sure that most of it is accurate. The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
