Sounds like they are 5.50 rims then, the only problem with going to a 6.50 tire on a 5.50 rim is they would "bulge" a half inch on the narrower rims, hardly noticeable, with modern tire sizes I beleive ( don't quote me) the 6.50 would be taller in profile than a 5.50, I would check them side by side to be sure before deciding which to place on your tractor, I like the hood on my tractors to sit as level front to rear as possible, some like the front a lil high, others like them a bit low, to each his own.
