Personally, I would leave the tractor with a 6 volt system. Number 1, it is original, and therefore more "collectible". Number 2, I have never had any real trouble with a 6 volt. If you park the tractor near an electrical outlet, you can hook a battery tender to it. They have always worked great for me. I can start my 6 volt 140 in 20 degree weather as long as the battery has been maintained by a tender. Good luck, SF
