My manual tells me that the wide-front farmall has a hydraulic cylinder which should be located somewhere in front of the oil pan. Regardless, I don't have one. There's the "gerotor-type" hydraulic torque generator in the steering column, the shaft and linkages, and then the steering gear over the axle. Now, I'm feeling the steering column bind up, not so much the steering gear, although that could be screwy as well, seeing as how it leaks. I'm wondering if I shouldn't address the hydraulics in the column first, then see about that gear box...
