THe bolt pattern on the housing surface for the Hydraulic pump mount has differently spaced holes. The top hole is at least 1/2 bolt hole out of place for the pump. Fit up the pump and you will clearly see the difference. If the pump fits either, the front cover was changed to a newer casting, or the engine is newer than the rest of the tractor.
