I am having some issues with my 48 cub and its throttle response. I have gone through the carb and have it set to factory settings. I read on this forum about a common issue with the horizontal rockshaft where it inserts into the housing and the shaft/key wearing out, I found on mine there was some wear so I went ahead and corrected it. The big issue I see now is that when the carb linkage is disconnected I have a 1/2 inch in either direction of play on the rockshaft coming from inside the governor itself. Any idea what might be causing this or what I could do to fix it?
