IH had their own bearing factory for many, many years. I don't know who they get them from now. If you see a bearing marked WP( West Pullman, Ill,) that is a IH bearing as that is where the plant was. They quit stamping them IH as they sold a lot to different machine mfg's and that IH would not look good. They were constantly updating, improving, increasing capacity etc on their bearings. Any ball bearing with loading grooves is an increased capacity bearing, they need the grooves to load the extra balls. Lots of difference in bearings. Now in an old tractor, most any light duty bearing will work just fine.
