When I got my Super C I got no oil when I opened the lower pet cock so in stead of adding any not knowing what had been in it I drained it. It looked like tar when I drained it. No telling how long it had been in there. I had a case of Moblil sae 30 so I thought it couldn't be worse than what was in it. After about 20 hr.s I drained it and dropped the pan to put a pan gasket on it and the oil looked as clean as when I put it in and the screen has little or nothing on it. There was a huge chunk of timeing gear I belive, in the pan the old owner must have left in there when replaceing the timeing gear. It looked to be new.I about messed my pant's when I saw it but it's ran great since. The oil has appeared very clean ever since and I have had no problem as of yet with the Mobil oil.
