Land slides in good shape? Furrow wheel on rear of semi-mounted plow adjusted right? Is your 3 point free to swing horizonally like it should be? I take it this is not an "on land" hitch, but right wheels are in the furrow.
To check width, you should be able to measure the spacing on the beams. Don't know what the 550 was available in, but probably 14, 16 and 18".
