You will have to take your bands to someone who does industrial brakes like Northeast Brake Equipment in Minneapolis. A regular car shop won't be able to do them.
If your existing bands have the top clevis rivited on to the band, they are original and are worth relining. If you don't want to reline them, I'd be interested in them. I had to have a heavy duty lining put on one side to compensate for wear in the drum.
I don't know the situation currently, but the aftermarket brake bands were too long (even your local dealer has aftermarket at this point). If you buy new bands and can't adjust them enough, you will have to cut the band and have it rewelded to be shorter.
Another problem with the aftermarket bands is that the top clevis is made buy rolling the end of the band into a loop and spot welding it. The spot welds are not strong enough and will rip out if you use the brakes hard and often. If you are not stopping one wheel to turn around short, it probably won't be an issue. I'm not excited about the idea of brake failure no matter what I'm doing.
A third issue is that the metal band itself is thinner than the stock ones. Once you have shortened the bands and rewelded the clevis, the eye of the clevis can tear.
Like I said, I'm looking for some original bands ro reline...
