Yes, I agree that the problem could very well be the starter locked up on the bendix. Sometimes you can tap the starter with a ball peen hammer and free it up. If that doesn't work, I have heard that you can try rocking the tractor back and forth in high gear. I wouldn't take the starter off until you try these methods. SF
