A u-joint can typically be run at 35 degrees or more BUT if only a single u-joint on the driveline bends when you turn (in other words, not an equal angle driveline and no CV joint), you'll get a vibration that worsens the shorter you turn. If the u-joints are worn at all it can make a racket. Just yesterday I was mowing with my 350 and our club's 5-ft pull-type rotary mower that had this problem. For anything less than a wide turn I was disengaging the PTO because the chattering was so bad.
