That is a good idea with out completely blocking it off. The only reason I bring this up is because I know from experience, that a cooling system without a stat will over heat if it is pulled long enough and hard enough, it may not ever get pulled. Maybe if get time in the future I will sit down and find a way to modify the original stat housing to accept a detroit or cummins stat. Has any one seen an original F-30 stat recently? I'm gonna guess they were thrown out a long time ago. Thanks guys.
