Brent,
Make sure there isn't a big vacuum leak and that the carb is reassembled properly. If the float isn't right, there may not be gas in the bowl.
Since it was running before the carb was removed for cleaning, I'd check the carb to manifold flange to be sure it's sealed properly, then check the float setting and run a wire through all the holes in the carb to be sure there isn't a piece of rust or other solid crud blocking them.
If that doesen't get it, check the plug wires for proper installation, one or more may be crossed.
I did that once on a car, got the rotation backwards and same story, no start.
