Just went out and tried it again, full retard, full choke for only one crank and then off. Got a half-hearted puff on the second round with the crank and then nothing for the next ten or so, never did start. Hmm. Impulse does click around 12 oclock on the crank handle. Crank takes some effort, so I am assuming with out checking yet that compression is okay.
