I'm guessing that you're right about whats causing your clutch problem. I've got a c split right now and I'll look today and get back to you. What I found out was this.....the throw our bearing which came out on my C was not actually a bearing at all....but rather a kind of fiber that slid up and into the "fingers" on the pressure plate. There is no replacement for it, so you'll end up buying a new throw out bearing and a "throw out bearing holder"----costs about $115, but looks like a much better deal to me. What you should be concerned about (in my humble opinion) is this...the condidion of the fingers on the pressure plate (if they are badly worn, I'd put in a new pressure plate), the condition of the clutch plate itself (ie. how thick is is--or how much wear). If I have time today, I'll measure mine and you'll have some thing to compare with. If you have complications or questions email me and I'll try to help. I'd make one more suggestion....be sure and look at the condition of the ring gear on your flywheel....if its showing alot of wear, I'd for sure replace it while I had the tractor apart--its basically inexpensive ($35 if my memory serves me)
