I know what you're saying ! Especially with a chain, snatch strap not as bad.If you had the carb off it is possible you didn't get the gov linkage in the carb slot. Or it may just be messing with you, seems like sometimes you can crank and crank without luck but pull it less than 2 feet and its running.
