Dad's 49 M had the bearing out.. And my 50 M broke the pilot shaft where the brearing rides.. They supposedly beefed those up later. Seems like mine's about 3/4" with a 1/4" bolt in the center to hole the bearing in place. That one was a fatigue fracture from working it in 4th gear.
