Kirk, Using wire wheels and other stuff to shine up old moldboards is not needed and too much work. See if you can go plow for 3 hrs or so in some sandy or light soil. After you have been in light or sandy soil for some time, your moldboards should be shined up better than any grinding job. I bought a 2-16" #8 and I plowed three times at 2 hrs each trip...shine like you wouldn't believe. Saturday I bought a 1-16" trailer plow and this fall I will do the same thing. And will plow deep.
