This is what I remember as books are 2000miles away.
The clutch can be removed without splitting tractor or removing belt pulley. Remove large tank, support and sheet metal flywheel cover. Unbolt coupling piece (or something) in fly wheel area. Probably need to move the through out bearing some how. Clutch can be slided rearward off splines. Really tough to slide pieces if rusted as I recall.
Sorry if this is too fuzzy, 3 years since I did mine. Took 2 days remove due to rust.
