I am just wondering about the 3 "bolts" that hold the gas tank in place. Can you just knock those up from the bottom and into the tank to replace? If so, whats the trick to getting new ones in? Any type of silicone or some thing that needs to be put around them? Some experienced advice needed here. Reason I ask all this is that mine are really corroded and yesterday I was at an old boys home in the woods of Western Indiana looking at some other parts and he had a tank sitting there with one of the "bolts" missing and it triggered my memory. I did find an almost new looking grille insert hanging on the wall and bought it for $15 and a head with no cracks complete with rocker arm and valve cover that he took $20 for.....Think I did OK? Have a wonderful Sunday afternoon everyone, Doug.
