So, I"m fixing up a tractor (IH-424) that I picked up and have somehow got the governor out of time. The tractor starts and runs good untill I put a load on it and it"s pretty evident the governor is not working now. Can anyone tell me how to get it back in time? When I put the new electronic ignition in; I went to change the leaking valve cover and discovered a broken push rod. Upon replacing the rod and adjusting the valve train I basically got the timing all messed up and had to start from scratch. Now my 424 runs good, but the governor is not kicking in Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Dusty
