is the cleaning fan working good it sounds like you arn't getting enuf air to the sives, if it has the even flow cleaning fan there could be a leak between the fan and the sives, reducing the air through them. also make shure the cleanning shue is moving the full distance from frunt to rear becouse if it isn't that can cause loading of the sives and on a macine that old a little play in most of the shue drive componets can add up to short move ment
