Discovered that the weight guard in my distributor (part 10, page 48, I&T manual)is bent and has been rubbing the breaker plate. What issues would this cause and are those weight guards available? Tractor ran in this condition but I honestly didn't run it enough and it was too long ago to say whether the governor worked 100%.
This darn '51 M project is now at 5 years and counting. Amazing how such a simple project can get drug out when the last two years of high school and college hits ;-)
