If you have a distributor your battery voltage is getting too low for your ignition. Check your charging system to see if the battery is being charged. I have an analog multimeter and I don't have a problem reading the charging voltage whether its off a generator or alternator as I have both. I only paid about $20.00 dollars for it at RadioShack.
