I would suggest giving up on those Lamberts and changing the M back over to the original style drum and band brakes. You shouldn't have to drive very from Atlantic to find a salvage yard that has what you need.
I have a 1950 H that DID have those Lamberts. They never did work as good as I thought they should. Tore into them one day and discovered a bunch or worn out and broken parts inside the right brake, so I robbed the original style brakes off a project H and installed them on the '50. Best thing I ever did.
