Hi Benny2011: We got the new (6th) MD sold to the public. I was young at that time but later I heard them say there was a German injector pump on it and my father didn't like it when that was stopped because of WW-2 starting later on. I don't believe they had any problems at all with the injector pump. Could be that the dealer, or IHC, got lots of extra spare parts before the embargo cut off Germany. Can not say when IH started using their own but I'd guess ASAP. Britian was fighting Germany big time in mid 1940 so IH must have known they would get cutoff soon, maybe befor the first MD was even shipped. By the way. that MD was worked hard untill about 1950. In '53 it was traded in on a late SMD. Hope this info helps.
