I always thought the 240 would have the same small points as the SC thru 230, but a while back on here, someone said when IH went to the 240 and 340 series, they used the large points for both... so now I'm not sure. My 240U has a 3 point which is factory modified from a Fast-Hitch. Some of the parts are the same as the F-H, but the 240U is entirely different from the F-H on the Super C we had. The SCs and 200 used the touch control for the "pitch" and leveling... the 230 changed from that system.
