I have a 450 which in visual comparison is the
same as a m or 400 that are mine. The 450 runs high rpm's and is not governed down well at all
it will buzz up but under load has no balls.
some one here suggested the roller bearing in the
aft end of the assembly was wobbled out I havent had a chance to work on mine any further but maybe you have the same problem I also checked all linkages and cleaned all friction points to no avail May be some one has a little more info on the operation of this system
