Nice looking silo filler. We had a Papec for fillig silo and we used for shredding corn fodder. Had to change the knives when shredding. We used a 10-20 McCormick-Deering tractor for both operations. Somehow a pitch fork was left on it and it did a number on it.. Had to have it it rebuilt. In 1950 a neighbor bought a field chopper pulled by a Farmall M. It took about 3 weeks to fill two big silos with the silo filler.
With the chopper it took about 3 or 4 days. We used the 10-20 on the blower. Kept 2 or 3 men in the silos to tramp the silage. Always like to watch the cows eat that silage. Hal
