jaybird, I went through the same issue last summer on my W6. What I did was pull the pto from the tractor and working through the hole I took the bolt out of the bull gear and slid the entire axle assembly out. Then with a good size rose bud, heated up the steel sleeve. Slid right off. Most likely, if it's leaking the outer bearings need to be replaced as well. I had to order the felt seal from IH but everything else I ordered from a local bearing supplier. Alot cheaper that way. Charles
