IH industrial tractors and backhoes

I am looking for an IH backhoe (gas or diesel) to restore and use on my property. I have not found anything at all on the Web concerning IH construction equipment. What I would like to know is where can I get detailed info on these machines, what are their strong/weak points, and what kind of support is available for them (i.e. parts, tech help, manuals). Do you think that due to their rarity and the likely lower level of support, would IH backhoes and related equipment be more affordable?
Any info anyone can provide would be most appreciated.
