The F series originality guide is packed full of good info.
The bolts have a pattern to hex and squares but it is NOT absolute. Generally speaking Square headed bolts go through parts and have nuts on them, Hex headed bolts go into blind holes. On a 36 most of the hex bolts have dots on the heads.
Originally the radiator was unpainted brass, I mist mine with black for looks but don't put it on too thick or it affects cooling. A bag was put over the mag and the oil gage and sediment bowl glass were masked off and then the entire tractor, manifold and all was painted grey except for the draw bar and wheels which were red.
I paint manifolds and exhaust with high temp black paint. And mask off all the brass fittings and leave them bare
