An R4 would be an improved or updated version of an individual part where as if it was an R94 verses a R93 it would be a up dated version of an assembly or a part that has more than one individual part put together to make it an assembly, even if it was two identical pieces riveted together or just counting the rivet could put it into the double suffix. And yes, they do go on and on, usually start with R1 and they have it as good as it is going to get by R9 or R99 or they just change complete part number.Confused, so am I.
