After just aquiring my Dad's tractor, I am trying to look it over. I'm identifying what is right and what is wrong.
I am wondering if it was possibly a dual fuel option tractor. It is not so at this present time. All of you would know WAY better than I, so that is why I am asking. I don't have pictures yet but I can explain what is leading me to think so.
In the hood, ahead of the water temp cut out, there is a round hole approx 3" in dia. It looks like it might have been for another fuel filler neck? (There is nothing underneath it, it's just a hole in the hood on top) Just left of the brake pedals, there is a little lever with a label that says "OPEN" with an arrow. (Was this for a luver system out front?) There is also a linkage/lever through the front cross hole in the magneto.
There is only the normal fuel tank on it and just the normal carb. Also there are no luvers on it at this time. It's just got signs of something else and I don't know what it is for sure. If it was dual fuel, is there any way I can restore it back to how it was or am I better to just get a different hood and make it like it was never there?
Thanks guys! Due to the help here I have already ordered some other replacement parts and they are on the way. I'll try to get pictures soon.
