Its been a while since I updated you guys on my M, I've been busy working but I was off all last week and got a lot of work done to it. Majority of the small stuff is done and painted (atleast for the rear) I got new tires and rims friday. Went with some 15.5-38 Galaxy Power Drive tires and Unverferth 14x38 rims. So saturday I put them on and finished prepping the rear end, I would have gotten paint on it but I ran out of thinner, so that will have to wait til later in the week. Dad found the serial tag last week and come to find out its a 1951, serial # 249044. Anyways, heres some pics... Ill have more soon.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
