If I remember right, the PTO on a cub turns in the opposite direction of the Farmall A, which means the mower blades will be turning in the opposite direction also.
Also, the Farmall A can handle a wider mower than the Cub. I think it would be a better idea to get a mower desingned to work with the A than to try and cobble the Cub mower to fit the A.
