Hi, it has been a few years, remove muffler, side panels by rad and side panels by under the dash. That should remove the 4 cap screws at the 4 corners of the hood. If you have a helper, one on each side of the hood, lift hood from dash side first. If you are alone, remove battery cover and while standing on platform, grasp hood by rear battery cover hole and lift up and rear-ward. Some models with oval muffler and oval hole in the hood, the hood can be lifted over the muffler.
